GRRR WORK PROFILE LINKS

GRRR is a mischievously led multi-disciplinary studio and collaboration between a painter and typographer. We work together creating vivid artwork that stumbles through a psychotropic landscape, littered with references to comedy, death, ceefax and threaded together with quotations from a biopic record of existence. Our practice is centred around an anthropological study of layered narratives found in naturally occurring intersections between the metaphysical and terrestrial. By examining and documenting the fabric of the journey through a continuous dérive, a body of interconnected knowledge is gathered. However because of the unpredictable nature of this method, the traveller is constantly absorbed by unfamiliar information 'and the encounters they find' ­ these stumbled upon destinations form entry points for exposition. The resulting data collection is recorded and expressed through: drawing, writing, typography, lomography, street art, happenings, artists book publications and parazines. studio@grrr.org.uk
